Persistence - Never Say Never

There are a lot of times when a dancer has it hard. Perhaps their agent isn't sending them on any auditions, or they're going to auditions but not just getting the part.

If problems like these are not kept in perspective it can ruin a dancer's self-confidence and stop them from essential activities such as performing, going to auditions or even just going to dance classes.

These type of crises tend to happen after a bad run of auditions or a bad performance. However persistence is necessary.

Backing down and giving up never solves the problem. It often takes repeated mistakes or failed auditions to be able to land a dream job that you really want.

It takes a lot to get to the necessary standard to be a dancer to begin with. If you get to the standard when you're in there you've got to keep going.

The only reason you should stop is if you suddenly stop enjoying dancing or if you're getting on and it's time to retire.

There may be times when a dancer is not cut out for regular success in the industry and if you're not doing well it may be worthwhile spending more time practising in dance classes, or getting an outside opinion to see if others think you're good enough. It may just be you need a bit of tweaking here and there.

But if you are good enough or intend to be, certainly don't let a few setbacks hold you back permanently. Attack each new adventure with your all!
