Does Paying More For Dance Classes Mean The Classes Are Better? When taking up dance as a hobby or with professional aspirations you'll come across many dance classes that can teach you skills that will will improve your dancing. Should you pay more for dance classes and will it mean a better class? In many classes yes paying more will give you a better class and sometimes no it won't. The price charged by the dance teacher isn't necessarily related to how good the class is but usually a class that costs more will have a reason to justify the price.
For example masterclasses invariably cost more as you are getting an expert as a teacher who many people want to learn from. People who are either well known in the industry for what they do or have a huge following will normally have higher costing classes. At times the higher price may be for a different reason. For example they might be teaching classes in a studio that costs more for them to hire, so they charge more for the class. Most of the time you can use a good dance studio as a kind of comparison. Look at the average price of a class in a well known dance studio. If a class costs considerably less than this then the chances are that either the class is of a lower quality or there is another factor such as it being a company class, low studio prices or it being subsidised by the state or a charity. Normally when you pay more for a class you'll feel that it's worth it. However if you know that the instructor is good then it shouldn't matter how much the class costs. Think of this scenario as like getting a bargain in a shop. The same teacher could become popular and charge a lot more a few years down the line. LATEST TOPICS | ||
