Darrin's Dance Grooves is the most popular dance instructional dvd or video to date. It's shifted over 4 million copies worldwide and counting.

Darrin is a superstar choreographer having worked with artists including Britney Spears and NSYNC. He also conducts masterclasses around the world and as the name suggests these aren't for beginners.

The DVD is very good in terms of learning from an expert. One of the criticisms aimed at it is that the camera work on the DVD isn't good and he teaches super fast - kind of like audition speed which can be difficult for a beginner. So it might be more suitable for an advanced dancer.

However the follow-up Darrin's Dance Grooves 2 is an improvement with shots where they have their backs facing you making it easier to follow, and better explanations than the first DVD. Not to mention the fact you're learning from someone who knows all about MTV dance moves!
